My Hair - Then & Now! Advice Wanted!!

My hair at the end of last year before
I decided to have it chopped!

Hair in November '11

My hair now (sorry for the cringey pose)

Hi girls! If you've read my other posts then you'll know I had a perm done around April time and I didn't have the greatest experience! Thinking about it I wasn't sure if I regretted the decision to cut my hair off and have it permed but now looking back I know I do, I just want my hair to grow back!

My main inspiration to cut my hair off came from Alexa Chung, Miley Cyrus and Shanae Grimes (plays Annie in 90210), the inspiration to have it permed came from Anne Hathaway's hair in Love and Other Drugs (I know this was not permed), unfortunately I didn't suit either! Here's my perm in all its glory:-

You can see here the beginning of those
tufts I blogged about last week.

So girls, I'm asking for your advice! What should I do with my hair next? I think I want to grow it, any advice on how to do this quickly? Are there any products I can use to speed hair growth up?
I'd absolutely love to hear your suggestions!

  1. I've been taking suplements from Boots and since using my hair seems to have grown a bit faster!

  2. I had pretty bad condition hair for a while (too much straightening!) I've found that Moroccan Oil helps massively - repairing hair and making it grow again...I got mine from Boots for about £6 I think. It's a small bottle but has lasted ages! Definitely couldn't live without it now :)

    1. I am loving all this fab advice people are willing to share with me, I really appreciate it. I'm definitely going to head over to Boots to pick up these two items, maybe used in conjuction with each other (the above tablets and the Moroccan Oil) they could work miracles!

  3. The best thing that I have ever tried from my hair is the Lush BIG shampoo for helping the condition of it. And the Lee Stafford Hair Growth collection is great for treating the hair and helping it grow longer :)

    1. Thank you for this advice, I've never tried any Lush products but I see so many good reviews about almost every product from Lush that I feel like I'm missing out! Your blog is lovely by the way!

  4. I absolutely adore your hair the length it is in your current photos - it's got body, volume and great texture (super jealous in case you can't tell!)

If you want to grow it out though, I find the simplest natural remedies are the best. Rub coconut oil into the scalp and along the length of your hair the night before you want to wash it - it really improves its condition :)
