Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub

Lush's Bubblegum Lip Scrub is a much loved product in the beauty world, this product is surrounded by hype and glowing reviews. No doubt you've all read one thousand reviews on this lip scrub and all own a pot yourself, but  I have a new found love for Lush so here's my opinion for what it's worth.

I am a vegetarian who struggles when it comes to make up products, how do I know a company hasn't had another company test their product on animals just so they can declare that they themselves haven't? I know that's a touchy subject and it's a debate I don't particularly wan't to get into, but when it comes to Lush, I know, with confidence, that they actively fight animal testing and hand make their products with natural ingredients and that really draws me in. There's something about a product full of the best natural ingredients that appeals to me, if it's not full of harsh chemicals - surely it can only do good? Lush's Bubblegum Lip Scrub has the shortest ingredients list I have possibly ever seen, made up mostly of Castor Sugar with a dash of flavour and colour and organic Jojoba oil, it sounds a lip saviour for these winter months - and let me tell you, it is, so ditch the old toothbrush and stock up on this beauty.

Lush's Bubblegum Lip Scrub is a bright pink lip polisher which you apply to your lips from the pot using your finger and then lick it off, how naughty! I recently had very chapped lips, I desperately wanted to try out my new NARS Lip Crayon but as you can imagine chalky lip pencils and chapped lips definitely do not go so cue this Lip Scrub.

At first I didn't think this lip scrub was doing much for me, you can obviously see how it works, by running your delicate lips with sugar you are rubbing away at the dry skin, but I didn't find it very moisturizing so I followed it up with a Body Shop Raspberry Lip Balm. On Saturday, when I wanted to apply my new NARS lip crayon, I headed straight for the lip scrub, safe to say, the NARS lip pencil did not get a wear that day however that was 3 days ago... since then theres been snow, rain, and 30 mph winds that my lips have had to battle with and this morning I wore my lip crayon for the first time and it looked great, my lips feel soft and there's not a dry flake to be seen.

This yummy, tasty lip scrub is full of natural ingredients and comes in at £5.25 per pot, a definite recommendation from me, I can't wait to try out the Popcorn Scrub.

What do you think of the Lush lip scrubs?

  1. Thanks for this really useful review!
I am always a bit put off by Lush as a brand because I find the smell of their shops so overpowering everytime I walk past.
This has made me reconsider! :)
