REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask | Review

REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask - £30

Bloggers are always going to give into the hype aren't they? If a product is being hyped by the wonderful beauties of the blogging world then we know that if they're saying a product is good - this product is good. However, as I have previously mentioned, skincare is an 'iffy' one because nobody is the same - and that goes for their skin too.

The REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal mask retails at around £30 and is a 50ml bottle, with a pump and also a muslin cloth for mask removal. REN promises these results:-

  • Removes dead skin cells to renew the complexion
  • Skin looks brighter, healthier, more radiant
  • Helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Combats congestion, blackheads and blemishes
This mask is to be applied generously to the face and left on for 10 minutes before gently removing with a muslin cloth. On the bottle, REN do warn you that this mask may tingle, this is due to the ingredients which include AHA's, Glycolic and Lactic Acid. REN skincare is great as they have a clean skincare policy which promises none of those nasty products you don't want to be using on your skin e.g parabens and mineral oil.

One of the MIRACLE products in my new skincare routine has been this newly purchased REN Radiance Renewal mask, I've only used this twice yet I feel the need to shout from the rooftops about this mask! This is a sticky orange gel mask which smells like cheap orange icelollys (a nice smell!), I feel a small amount of tingling throughout the 10 minutes but nothing unbearable. The first time I used this and washed it off, I was straight in the mirror looking for results and I was kind of dissapointed but 15 minutes later after my skin had settled down from the washing and removal of the mask I was absolutely blown away. My scarring was reduced by at least HALF and my skin tone was so much more even.

I loved the results of this face mask so much I wanted to use it everyday, obviously I didn't as it's clearly a very potent mask which should only be used once or twice a week. I've used it for the second time today and my hyper-pigmentation has almost completely gone already (with the help of Pepta Bright) and before this mask it was really purply and intense. I haven't noticed much changes with the amount of smaller pimples I'm still getting on my forehead but I think those may be hormonal and there's not much I can do to prevent those - but these pimples have been smaller and a lot less angrier than usual.

I know that £30 is rather expensive for one product however I'm sure that you will get many uses out of this bottle as one pump is enough for my whole face. If you're struggling with hyper-pigmentation and dull skin I would highly recommend this facemask.
