Bioderma Sebium H2O Micelle Solution | Review

Bioderma Sebium H2O - £6.66

Bioderma Sensibo Micelle Solution has made itself quite a name in the beauty world and is now a favourite of many. When my Sensibo Solution ran out last month I went to re-purchase, it was definitely easier now Bioderma has been made available to purchase in the UK rather than heading over to eBay. With the launch of Bioderma in the UK came a whole different range of different Bioderma products to browse and potentially buy. I ordered this bottle of Sebium from escentual.com (linked in the caption) as they have a June offer on with a up to a 1/3 off French skincare - so if you head over now you can pick up 250ml of Bioderma Micelle Solution for just £6.66.

For those of you who don't know what Bioderma Micelle Solution is, it's essentially a 'cleansing water' which micro-emulsifies make-up, all rather sciency and not something I'm very swotted up on. This 'Sebium' Micelle solution is aimed at those of us with oily skin for a gentle cleanse and some oil regulation. I have combination skin but my T-Zone can get very oily so I purchased this over Sensibo to see if this might give my skin the helping hand it needs.

The first thing I noticed about Sebium is that it is not clear like Sensibo rather it is a pale blue. I rather liked the fact that Sensibo resembled water so closely - however I find Sebium has a slight smell to it along with the colour, this is not really an issue except now it feels like im using any old make up remover and doesnt feel special. The formula is soap free and non-comedogenic for those of us prone to blemishes - it feels refreshing and light when swiped over the skin on a cotton pad and melts make up away effortlessly. My skin feels very slightly on the tight side after using this however this has not been an issue at all and it has not dried my skin out.

For me Bioderma wins in the Micelle Solution category as I've tried a couple of others which haven't been anywhere near as effective. I use Bioderma as a pre-cleanse before I use my Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm in the evening and sometimes use this as my only cleanse in the morning. It's great for when you're feeling lazy and you just want to wipe away all your make up without moving from your bed and it's much more effective than a facial wipe. My T-Zone feels slightly less oily and much more like the skin on the other areas of my face so I guess it's working there. This product is a lifesaver for those Sundays where I wake up with last nights panda eyes and stained lips as it melts away the left over make up in minutes leaving me fresh faced and ready to tackle my headache.
