MAC MINERALISE SKIN FINISH NATURAL | Review

MAC Mineralise Skin Finish Natural in Medium Plus - £22.00
Real Techniques Powder Brush - £10.99
I started to write this after one amazing night out in Newcastle with friends but I had to stop half way through because I felt so awful from my hangover so sorry there was no post this weekend. Funny story actually - after driving for two hours of our return journey we realised we didn't actually know where we were and we had ended up in Leeds - 138 miles from home so we effectively doubled our return journey time! Apologies for the picture heavy post however pictures are something I really enjoy on blogs so thought I'd throw my favourites from this batch in!

MAC's Mineralise Skin Finish was a product I picked up in duty free after smashing my Sheer Select Pressed Powder on a night out in Lancaster - I use powder daily to set my foundation so I was so desperate for a replacement. I don't like my face to be too powdery so I chose the Mineralise Skin Finish in Natural.

I really like this powder - it does a great job at setting my make up and I can re-apply throughout the day without my face getting cakey. It's extremely light weight and gives a natural finish. I use this everyday and feel lost when I don't have it as it's perfect for finishing off the face ensuring my make up lasts all day. Powder is not that much of an interesting product but this is a stable in my routine. I use my Real Techniques Powder Brush with this and find they work so nicely together. The size of the brush is perfect for lightly dusting the face with powder in no time and the brush is so soft! I think individual Real Techniques brushes are so reasonably priced considering they are such high quality - I picked this one up in Superdrug for £10.99.

MAC couldn't describe the MSF Natural better - 'A luxurious domed face powder with minerals, slowly baked to provide a dimensional yet natural-matte finish. Provides perfect low coverage. Use to set and fix foundation or as a touch-up throughout the day.' I completely agree with this statement and to me, it's the perfect powder.

Have you used MAC Mineralise Skin Finish? What are your thoughts? What are your favourite powders to use or do you skip this step?

  1. I use the Mac mineralise skin finish in medium with this brush and find it is the perfect combo. I love how soft and big the brush is which makes applying it a dream. I also use this brush for my rimmel stay matte powder x
