RIRI ♥ MAC FALL COLLECTION - NUDE LIPSTICK | Review

Rihanna released her latest limited edition collection for MAC last week and it sold out within hours. I love the limited edition packaging and being a huge lipstick lover, not to mention a Rihanna fan, I had to get my hands on this release. I was slightly confused about when the collection would go online within the UK due to mixed reports however whilst browsing the Debenhams website I discovered they were selling the new RiRi for MAC lipsticks before they went online the following day on the MAC website. I resisted the temptation to buy all four and picked up Nude and RiRi Woo as I have so many shades similar to Talk that Talk already. I already had RiRi Woo from Rihanna's previous release back in Easter but I thought the packaging and product itself would be perfect to giveaway on my blog, if you haven't entered yet you can enter here

Nude is a bit of an odd colour, I had no clue what this was going to look like swatched and I didn't do much searching online before I purchased. I already own so many bold and vibrant lip colours but I only own one nude so I thought this matte lipstick would fill a gap in my collection.

It took me a short while to get used to this lipstick once I applied it to the lips as, in my opinion, it's so different to any other lip colour I've ever seen. I find this quite a cool lipstick as when applied it doesn't have any of the warmth you would expect from a dark browny nude. On my lips I find it a dark brown with a purpley greyish tone, such an odd lipstick. I actually really like it but I find it quite a daring lipstick to pull off as it is so unusual so I haven't worked up the courage to wear it to work yet.

In terms of formulation this matte lipstick is very pigmented but again not as drying as the red and purple mattes I've tried before, it's slightly creamier which ensures you don't look like you've escaped from the cemetery as you might look if you wore a chalky nude matte.

I think this lipstick would suit darker skin tones or those who, like myself, suit darker lip colours.

What do you think of Nude?
