the war on drugs

On sunday Andy and I decided to make the most of the weather and drive up to Cartmel for the afternoon. We've been to Cartmel many times as we love the food there and the tiny village has some beautiful little shops selling things from beer to cake- it's home to the Cartmel Sticky Toffee shop which is pretty famous for its puddings and also is the location of Simon Rogan's restaurant L'enclume as well as Cartmel Racecourse. If you're ever in the area it is such a nice little village to pop in to if you're ever in the area (i.e. the Lake district).

Since it was sunday we opted for a classic sunday roast which really was lovely and very reasonably priced. We also ended up buying some Westcombe cheddar and some sticky toffee cake, not sure how that happened!

It was quite a windy but sunny day so I struggled to keep my scarf on but I thought it added a nice bit of colour to the upper outfit. I never wear this skirt anymore, its a renewal one from Urban Outfitters that I bought back in 2010 but since skater skirts are back in I thought it would be nice to dig it out, add oblitigatory hat and youre pretty much a blogger!
