february favourites

I'm not a monthly favourites kinda gal as I don't often take note of what I've been using and I seem to be always trying new things but this month I've rediscovered lots of love for some of my make up bag's longer standing products as well as some new'uns that may have already featured on the blog but haven't been reviewed.

So, February.... I've been loving a simple sculpted face with a light gold, smokey eye opting for brown and gold tones over blacks and greys to soften the look - you can see most of these products in use in my most recent spring get ready with me video here. I've been starting off my eyes with the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On N On Bronze as it makes the eyeshadow I layer on top pop so much! The NARS Ride Up To The Moon palette has been all I've been reaching for ever since I received it as a gift for Christmas, it's definitely been getting more use than any of my Naked palettes lately. The palette is great as it features shimmery warm tones from light gold to chocolate browns with a olive green thrown in there for good measure - mmm. MAC's Khol liner in Teddy is the perfect NARS accompaniment, its a bronze liner and looks perfect on the upper and lower lash line. To finish, I've thrown aside my trusty Benefit mascara in search of a cheaper alternative and boy do I love it. The Bourjois Twist Up The Volume Mascara leaves my lashes looking so full but NOT clumpy, check.

I haven't put down the Bourjois Happy Light Concealer since I bought it a while back, I love it so much, the colour is perfect and it really lights up the eye area whilst still being a rather thick concealer to hide imperfections. Keeping the face fresh and simple I've been using the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder to lightly sculpt the cheekbones and jaw lines, finishing off the look with the Kevyn Aucoin Creamy Glow blush in Euphoria as its the perfect peachy pink as we move into spring. For a more dramatic evening look I've been sticking with the same make up but adding MAC's Dangerous lipstick as its the perfect orange-red to make the gold eyes pop.

The only skincare item to make the cut, the ever famous, blogger hyped, holy grail, whatever else us bloggers call it - Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner. I picked this up using a Selfridges gift card which I received from their customer services department after they royally screwed up my order, so it was essentially FREE. I like the consistency and ease of use, it is gentle as expected and gives great results!

Do any of these products fall in your favourites?
