What am I listening to..

Hello Wednesday people, I don't know if you read my posts or just look at the pictures but I mentioned a while back that I planned on sharing some music with you. Music has always been a really big and important part of my life, although now I find myself with less time I am struggling to hunt for more music to fall in love with. My love for music will never go away but I am determined on rekindling our relationship and getting out there looking for great new stuff to fill up my life.

I am sorry for my lack of beauty/fashion posting, I know this is a blogger sin to say but I really don't want to photograph anything without a DSLR, this means buying a new one and I have my eye on a EOS 600D. I don't want to leave my blog unpopulated so I decided to open my blog up to share more about me. I can't play or write music but I can still appreciate it right? I would say my music taste has a specific type and I haven't planned this post out, I'm just going to link what comes to mind.

1. Alt J - Tessellate

Alt J are an English band who won the Mercury Prize in 2012 so you have probably heard of them. I hadn't heard of them until they won the Mercury Prize and then my boyfriend shared them with me, they're an amazing band, you should definitely check them out. Breezeblocks and Matador are also firm favourites.

2. The Vaccines - Bad Mood

I'm sure you've all heard of The Vaccines, this is off their latest album and has a wicked beat that I just love.

3. Jamie Lidell - Little Bit of Feel Good

I can't really explain this song, just listen to it, I listen to it all the time and have done for years because it instantly puts me in a good mood. Jamie has an album and a tour scheduled for this year, I'm excited to check it out.

4. Rihanna - Loveeeee Song Ft. Future

So I may like a range of music but I am not immune to the lure of Rihanna, I really like Rihanna since she produces such good songs to sing along and dance to. You know when you hear a song and you feel like someone has got inside your head and wrote down exactly what's in there? That's this song, it's a grower but if you connect with it you'll love it.

5. The Black Keys - Little Black Submarines

Obviously The Black Keys had to get a feature, sorry if you're a die hard Beiber fan and you've been following the Twitter feud. But Justin Beiber will not get away with saying the drummer of the Black Keys needs slapping NO HE WILL NOT. I love The Black Keys older gritty and raw sound with Brothers and The Big Come Up being such great albums to mention a few (because they have many!). The latest album El Camino has done so well and this is a favourite off the album I love how it starts off soft and then the guitars power in.

6. Darwin Deez - DNA

Darwin Deez are the latest gig I went to and oh my word what a great time. They are so entertaining I absolutely loved the quirky little dances between songs.

7. The Lumineers - Morning Song

I am sure you have all heard The Lumineers Hey Ho on an advert, this is a beautiful song and another I connect with so well!

There are so many songs I could share with you but here's a few that come to mind, I don't want to bore you to death and 7 song's is almost an album. I have really enjoyed writing this post, it feels nice to open up and share things about myself with you all. I'd love it if you had any recommendations for me! I promise I will be back blogging very soon, I miss you all!

  1. Lovely post! I really like Alt J, I've only started listening recently but really like it x

  2. I'm not too adventurous when it comes to music, I normally just stick to Taylor Swift, but I had a quick listen to some of these songs and they sound good!:)xo

  3. I love The Vaccines, saw them live a couple of years ago and they were amazing xx
